Connor's first day of first grade fell on his birthday this year. He was so excited. He had a great first day of school and a great birthday. He told me when I put him to bed that he had a brilliant birthday and that it was the best birthday ever. I made cupcakes to take to his class and brought balloons to be delivered. His teacher had made him a card with a gift that had candy and a pencil and all his class sang Happy Birthday to him. After school we let him open one of his gifts and then  took him to Chuck-E-Cheese. We ended up being there almost 3 hours playing games and eating pizza. Then we went to Toys R' Us because he had received cards and money in the mail from Aunt Jenny and Mamaw and Gramps. It was a fun day and we didn't get home until almost bedtime.
