Company shows off its electric van


LEI Global's Dodge is the first electric vehicle capable of 500 miles on one charge.

Termed the "missing link" in electric vehicle technology, the first electric vehicle capable of traveling over 500 miles per charge was demonstrated Monday at the Ozark International Raceway southeast of Rogersville.

Luedtke Enterprises --LEI Global, of Mansfield — in conjunction with the Texas-based Coyote Electronics, has designed and built a compact drive system that sounds like a golf cart but can run any vehicle, from a go-kart to a locomotive.
