2 days yet
Okay I showed the kitchen yesterday so today we'll go to the family room.
Here it is. Now I've got some opinions on this one. The border will have to go. Of course repaint.
Here's another view. I sure don't know about tile in the family room but Francis likes it. He's weird though, so anyway it stays. But I'll have to have a really big rug to put in there. You can see it needs some trim.
One more. That is, of course, a media closet per Francis. It's a pretty big one too. I think that's mold on the wall in there. We can live with it though. Just kidding, Francis thinks he'll have to take all the walls out on that end of the living room due to mold. That family room is bigger than ours now. Well, most are, but we're sure happy about that. There may be more than one way to arrange our furniture.
Aiight, I'm done for now, gotta go to work. I've got one question though, why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway? Hmmm

mold
That mold can be very dangerous but it can be dealt with. For starters: find out if the water problem that caused the mold is still there. Once you're sure water is no longer a problem there are some things you can do.
If the damage is only surface deep wash it with bleach to kill the mold but make sure the windows are open (lots of ventalation) and wear rubber gloves. Do not sand the mold until after you have bleached it and then make sure to wear one of those little masks. (I learned the hard way back before everyone knew how dangerous black mold can be.)
After you've killed and removed the mold prime the wall with Killz or a simular product. Again, lots of ventilation is needed.
If you decide you need to tear out the wall be sure to kill the mold before you start tearing out the wall just to be safe. |

| I knida like the tile. Of course it's so hard to cover up or take out something like tile. It's so expensive. I think once it's cleaned up it might grow on you. And if it doesn't.... Well, there's always the big rug! |

I hope y'all don't mind how I put all my replies together on one. Joe, thanks. I would say it's the camera taking good photos and not the photographer though.
Billy, hey there, you are the site owner right? Thanks for the info. We've definitely got some work cut out for us.
Amanda, I don't think that tile's gonna grow on me. I just don't like cold floors but that's okay. The rug will do. Hey all, thanks for the comments. Jenni |
