Visit to Dawson
We went a visiting to Dawson last night to Clarence and Mary's, (Glinda's Sister).
Mary had invited us for homemade pizza, homemade fresh-picked blackberry cobbler and a few games of pitch. We arrived just after the time I had told Mary we would. Pizza was ready around 7 and we ate on the deck on a beautiful summer's evening. We moved inside just before dark and started playing 'pitch' (a card game favored by my wife's family and very popular here in Southern Mo). Clarence and I were partners and I was drafted to keep the score. The photos below are the results of those six card games. The "W" stand for we (Clarence and I) and the "T" stands for they (Mary and Glinda). We played until around 11 then ate blackberry cobbler. Glinda and I arrived home around 12:15. It was sure hard getting up this morning with just a few hours sleep. BUT check out the score sheets and you will see that Clarence and I had a good evening. The top photo is the first three games.
As you can see the girls won one game while we won five. Was this mean to post it on the web? All in good fun. I told you I was going to post it, didn't I, Mary?
