Paradise at Kelley's Brown Swiss Dairy

I feel I live in "Paradise", or at least as close as anyone will get on this earth.  I see at least one friend every day I went to school with.  I know most of the children here - or their parents and grandparents.  What really makes me feel so lucky is when I read about things that are happening in places like Greensboro, N.C . Visit the link provided to see how rough it is in some places.
I would like to take the time to welcome some new members of Musecrafters.  Riza is from the Phillippines.  I spent a lot of time there in my Navy days in the early 70s.  The USS White Plains AFS-4 was in Subic Bay quite a bit during the 3 &1/2 years I was aboard.  We spent the nights on liberty in Olongapo.  I came to really like the Filipino people.  I got to travel to Manila one time for 4 days and visited the US National Cemetery there and Bilibid Prison.  The ship called on the Island of Cebu also and we spent three days there.  We (some of my shipmates and I) rented a car to tour the island.  We drove around from one Sari-Sari Store to the next drinking San Miguel Beer.  The roads we were traveling went through the cane fields. It was a blast until we got into a fender bender back in town. Like a bunch of dummies we waited for the police and when they did arrive they had us follow them back to the station where they held us.  Funny how they knew when we had finally gotten all our money out of our hiding places.  When they had it all - they released us.
Yuki is new also and she is from Japan.  The White Plains was homeported out of Sasebo, Japan, so we had a lot of time there.  I learned to speak enough Japanese to carry on a conversation if they would talk and listen slow.  Learned to ice skate there as well.
junquejo is also just getting started here.  She hasn't trusted us enough to share her name yet but she seems a warm and caring person so I am sure she will in time.
Please visit these new members and welcome them.
