A Big TV and Old Westerns

This huge television was delivered to our home on Sunday, December 23 by Glinda's brother Don and his wife, Sandy.  They had bought themselves a new television and gave this one to us.  My son, Jacob, came over and hooked it up on Monday the 24th.  My oldest son Francis and his wife Jenni gave us a boxed DVD set of 150 episodes of "TV Westerns" for Christmas. The box says over 68 hours on 12 DVDs.  We started by watching just some Bonanza.  Some of the bit players that we recognized were Claude Akins who later starred in his own show but I forget the name.  I think it was a truck driving show in the early eighties.  We also spotted Leonard Nimoy before he became Spock on Star Trek.  Just now we finished watching 6 Annie Oakleys, in those we spotted Slim Pickens as a real bit player with only one line in the whole show and in another show there was Alan Hale who played  the Skipper from Gilligans Island.  These old westerns are sure good to watch after all the trash that is offered on modern television.  We have to offer our thanks to Francis and Jenni for the DVDs and a very warm thanks to Don and Sandy for the television to enjoy them to the fullest.

It's a very big tv! I think the name of the 80's show was "Movin on" but I might be wrong.
