Sunday at Kelley's Dairy
Morning chore time was fairly uneventful so we got to head to the house for breakfast. After checking for messages and reading the paper I laid down for a nap but I didn't get to sleep long as Glinda woke me to see what was in the yard.

Francis, Jenni and "M" were coming down for the afternoon and we were looking forward to seeing them. They were coming down because of Glinda's birthday yesterday. They brought her four berry plants; a grape, a raspberry, a blackberry and a blueberry. Mitzi and her three daughters came up and Glinda got to hold "Lil" for awhile.

Then as the afternoon wore on Jenni got to hold her.

My radio at the barn has not been working so Glinda suggested that I take one that she had purchased for fifty cents at a yard sale. Actually it was a complete system, just old. It has turntable, double cassette player, and AM/FM radio. She was concerned about it getting wet though and so we thought we would wrap it in plastic if we got it going. I put it on the back step (unused), hooked up one of the speakers to set on top and plugged it in. we could not get anything so I made an antennae out of an old speaker jack and just draped it over the front and it worked great. We pulled up the plastic trash bag and tied it off so it would not get wet and now I can just plug it and unplug it to turn it off and on. I get lonesome milking by myself early of the morning and am anxious to hear the news and weather.

Everyone waited at the house while we milked and Bouedroux and Skeezix even came while we were gone. Glinda fixed a quick meal of Sloppy Joes and we had a great time together. "M" even got to hold "Lil".

"Flo" and "M" started playing in the tent system that Glinda had gotten a couple of weeks ago and I went in and got the photos shown below.
