Kelleys Dairy - Links & Categories
It has been a long time since I explained my links and categories that you can find on the right so I thought this would be as good a time as any to do so. I guess I will start with the "Categories" since the "Categories" list is on top.
1. "Brown Swiss Cows and Calves" will be the entries I have made that are about the cows, heifers and calves here on the farm. You can view calves at various ages, cows calving, and if you go back far enough you can watch an A.I. video.
2. "Family" consists of those stories about our family. You will find the grandkids featured quite often.
3. "Garden" is all the entries I have made about growing a garden here in the Ozarks.
4. "Harris Hillcrest Farms" is a collection of entries I have made concerning some of my experiences working part-time with two of the best folks in the Ozarks, Ronnie and Bonnie Harris. There is one entry complete with a video of the veterinarian drawing semen from one of his bulls.
5. "Making Hay" is a collections of harvesting hay in the Ozarks. It has several videos and a poem about making hay.
Now on to the links, but should I start with the top or the bottom of the list? I had thought about starting with the bottom but I guess the top of the list will do.
1. Mountain Grove VFW this link will take you to the VFW Post 3770 WebLog that I maintain. It contains news and photos of the happenings to our local VFW as well as general news that should be of interest to veterans.
2. Mary's Farm & Home will take you to my Sister-in-Law's blog. She mainly has photos of her horses but will be adding more as the weather gets nicer.
3. The Concrete Hillbilly is my nephew. His blog is quite a composite of a wide variety of subjects. He has some poetry that he has written.
4. Games Like the name implies it just takes you to a list of links to various games that I have gathered.
5. The Pink Chronicles will bring you to a blog by one of my Daughter-in-Laws. She covers a wide range of topics.
6. Jen & Franc is a blog from another one of my Daughter-in-Laws. She hasn't posted anything to it in quite awhile but has a lot of photos from their home during the remodeling stage.
7. Nobody's Hero is my son, the deputy sheriff. He has several stories about his experiences at law enforcement here in Wright County.
8. Kelley's Games & Movie Reviews is exactly as the name implies. It is maintained by my son and his wife.
9. Energy Conservation is a blog that Billy and I maintain together and it concerns conserving energy and alternate forms of energy and a few things about taking care of the environment while conserving energy. If you run across anything that might fit on our Energy Conservation blog please send it to us.
10. The Concrete Saga This is a compilation of the entries concerning learning how to stamp concrete that I experienced with my nephew last summer. I have put them together in such a way that when you click the link it will take you to the beginning entry and then at the end of that story will be a link to the next entry and so forth until you can read and see the photos and videos of the entire project.
11. Billy's Toy Store My friend Billy has an online Toy Store and this link will take you to it. He has some very interesting products offered including books he has written.
12.IJK Poems This is merely a link to the poems I have written. They are really not too good but you might get a laugh at my attempts.
13. Holistic Management This is one of my newer links and it deals with a new way of managing our resources. It is fairly interesting to any who are interested in our environment and how to improve it without being nuts.
14. My Fifteenth Year was a very turbulent year in my life and this is a short story about my fifteenth year. There are things here that my children need to know but I am unable to tell them and then I still had to leave some parts out. The events of my 15th year still affect me even after 40+ years.
15. Progressive Ozark Bank supports veterans. It is the only bank in Mtn Grove that would buy an ad on our VFW Post 3770 WebLog. The other banks in Mtn Grove told me no. Two told me that they didn't believe in advertising online but I have found where they do advertise online so that makes them both to be liars. We have moved a couple of accounts here already and will be moving more soon. I have found them to be good to work with.
16. Norwood, MO Is a blog I have started trying to promote my hometown of Norwood. It is still in its infancy but I am accepting input from others. If you have any old pictures of Norwood, it's people, events or businesses I would appreciate you sharing with me.
17. Mtn Grove, Mo Is a blog I have recently started about the neighboring town of Mtn Grove. My wife was raised in Mtn Grove and we do the lions share of our business there. I thought I would try to promote Mtn Grove also. Again if you have anything to submit please do so. I accept stories and photos of anything Mtn Grove. I have a schedule of coming events listed on the Mtn Grove blog and if your event is not listed please submit it so that I may include it.
18. Too Much Time My son, who lives away from here in another county has started this blog. He has some interesting photos so far. I hope he keeps adding to this blog. Leave him some comments so he knows someone is visiting. Maybe that will encourage him to post more entries.
19.Last but not least is Chicken Farming by Billy If you are a bit interested in small scale chicken farming for meat or for eggs be sure to check his blog about chicken farming out. He is a prolific writer and I know he will be adding to it quite often so you will have to visit him often.
That sure took awhile to do but I thought I should explain my links and also maybe bring them to your attention so you can visit some of the other blogs.
