Ellis Tire Service visits Kelleys Dairy

Dustin of Ellis Tire Service has the tractor jacked up and steady and is now draining the fluid from the tire. Robert K is looking on.

Dustin is now breaking the tire down to get at the inner tube.

Dustin is really working up a sweat now as the tire is being stubborn.

The tube was old and rotten and when he tried to hook up the pump it broke off and he had no choice but to slice the tube and insert the hose through the slice.

Now he is trying to get the old tube out. We had already determined that it needed a new tube.

Dustin finally caught me snapping photos. Nice grin, huh?

Dustin is now working on inserting the new inner tube.

Now he is filling the inner tube with the fluid. He saved the fluid that was in the tire. It seemed to be about 80 gallon. I did not know they held so much.

He is now working at getting the very last of the fluid from the barrel and back into the tire.

And now we are baling hay. My youngest son, Jacob tackled the job today for the first time. I am proud he gave it a shot. He did great.

I can recommend Dustin and his Ellis Tire Service to anyone needing tire work. He was timely, pleasant and not inclined to gouge prices. I had not seen Dustin for around 13 years. The last I had seen of him he was quite young and now he resembles his Daddy.

When we used to show our Brown Swiss at the fairs his parents, Dave and Sherry Ellis were also showing Brown Swiss and we competed with them. I went to school with Dustin. He is a year or two older than me. He's a good guy.
