Fishing for the Fourth

"Flossie" caught this small bass all by herself when we took her fishing with us yesterday.

This is part of the fish we caught yesterday. We always have a "fish fry" before the evening fireworks on the 4th of July and since we hadn't been yet we had to go yesterday and see if we could get enough fish. We caught a total of 13 perch and 5 bass. I went gigging frogs early this morning while getting the cows up for milking and was able to snag two before the dogs found me and chased all the frogs in the pond. We will be eating fresh green beans, lettuce, radishes, corn-on-the-cob, peppers (hot and sweet), cucumbers and potatoes from the garden along with the fish tonight. (Maybe a tomato or two also).
Have a safe and sane Fourth of July.
We have to go get ready for a "Color Ceremony" on the public square in Mountain Grove at 9:00 a.m. Catch you later.
