Started out cold this morning and has stayed that way.  Not Freezing just cold.  Dr David
Gourley, our veterinarian, was here at 7 a.m. right after the milking was done this morning
for the monthly herd health check-up.  Glinda needed to be to work by 8 a.m. but we got the
herd health done and I had her to work on time.  Didn't get much accomplished today since
it was cool with a bitter wind.  Had to take Glinda to the dentist at 2 p.m., she got off work at
noon.  It finally started raining around 2 and has gotten more miserable to be out.  None of
the grandchildren came out to help with evening chores.  Go figure. Anyway thought I
needed to post something so here is a photo of the feed storage in the top of the barn.  I get
7 tons at a time, it looks like we are about out and will likely need to order more before the
weekend.  The demand for corn for ethanol has sure drove the price of feed up.

It's funny how when something doesn't affect you, you don't think about it. I hadn't even thought about how the demand for corn for ethanol would affect farmers. I only thought about the ground water supply. Hey since gas is going up too maybe you could saddle up and ride a cow to town. Happy trails. Jenni
